Weather Policy - the basics

It is our aim to keep our participants safe during our event and self-guided rental outings.  We have the following weather policy in place.

TICKETED EVENTS

Events are still held in the event of light to moderate rain.  We have found that on the river, the weather changes quickly.  So, light to moderate rain doesn't last long and the cell passes quickly. Since you will be getting wet in the river already, a little rain isn't going to hurt anything.

However, heavy rain, thunderstorms and lightening are cause for cancellation. We are watching the weather channels and radar for weather movement as well as in contact with the River Lock for updates on river conditions.  WIth these resources, we make choices as we lead up to the event whether it is safe to hold the event or it needs to be delayed or cancelled.  We communicate with registered ticket holders to update as often as we can along the process.  It's important to us to keep you informed and in the loop as the weather changes and unfolds.

Equipment Rental, Self-guided Exploration and Transportation

Again, because light to moderate rain is often quite short lived, we keep our bookings and continue the rentals as scheduled.  Sometimes we have some flexibility in the schedule that allows for delays or postponements of the start time for rentals, self-guided exploration and transportation.  We examine these on a case by case basis with the intention of getting you on the river the day you've booked the rental.

Any Ticketed Event or Equipment Rental, Self-guided Exploration or Transportation booking is subject to our cancellation and refund policy as it relates to weather related cancellations.  Please be sure to review that here.
